Welp. I am back on the mountain, and to say that I missed these sunsets would be an understatement. The semester started off a little rough but God is gracious and things are working out nicely now. Praise the Lord for his comfort in our times of weakness! God has been exposing how broken I really am and it makes his love so much sweeter and his comfort so much more precious when I realize how much I truly do need Him, and that I am nothing without Him. Below are just a few words of encouragement that have been very helpful to me over the past couple of days.
“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” – II Corinthians 12:9-10
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling… BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.” – Psalm 46:1-3,10
“You arouse us so that praising you may bring us joy, because you have made us and drawn us to yourself, and our heart is [restless] until it rests in you.” – Saint Augustine
In the next few weeks I will probably be posting some photos from this past summer that I did not have time to blog about – that is if I have more time now (haha, not likely but I am going to humor myself and try anyway).
I hope whoever is reading this will have a fantastic week and I pray that God’s grace would fill your life!
Until next time,
